September Sips: The AppleJack Rabbit

Check out this month's featured cocktail - the Applejack Rabbit. Maple syrup combines with apple brandy or applejack whiskey to give you autumn in liquid form. To ensure that the maple flavor comes through along with the sweetness, use Grade A maple syrup labeled “Dark Color and Robust Flavor” (the style formerly known as Grade B). Enjoy after a day of apple picking or leaf peeping for the full effect.


  • 2oz of apple brandy or applejack

  • 3/4 oz lemon juice (we love freshly squeezed)

  • 3/4 oz orange juice

  • 1/2 oz maple syrup

  • Garnish with a lemon twist
