The Sanctuary on 8th Street is a Jacksonville-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and families in the Springfield community through after-school programs, summer camps, and educational support. Since 1992, they have provided opportunities for academic enrichment, recreation, and the arts, helping children develop socially, intellectually, and physically. Volunteers can support students through mentoring, tutoring, arts and recreation activities, summer camp counseling, and event assistance. By getting involved, volunteers make a meaningful impact on local youth.
